Internal struggles: Ego vs Mental health

What are you gonna do with all the time off? If the answer is watch Netflix and go on tinder dates, don't. If it's something genuinely beneficial (you can justify it in an interview) go for it. Just because you have a degree from UW doesn't make you entitled to anything. At the end of your 4 years it's about who you became, that's how some social science majors get great jobs like consulting and others end up at pizza hut, no offense. You probably don't realize the effect your decisions today will have on your life in 10/20 years, and if/when you do, it's a f*cking terrifying feeling. There are tons of cool entry level/seasonal jobs around if you look hard enough (Uber eats/food delivery on a moped, soccer referee, house painting, etc...) If you work this summer I promise you will come out of it with more memories/self respect/money than if you stay on unemployment and chill all summer. Start looking for jobs today, give yourself deadlines to find something, be greatful for the opportunities you do have, they aren't available to most people.
